**The shelf life quoted is achievable but not guaranteed as there are too many external factors beyond our control that can impact on this figure. In order to achieve the quoted shelf life we recommend the following best practice where possible. Display our cakes within an ambient temperature but covered if possible. Cakes will dry out with excessive refrigeration. Refrigerate overnight, wrapped, or in airtight containers.
If are going to freeze please do so as soon as possible following receipt of delivery. We recommend you portion your cake and freeze in separate slices. Before freezing, wrap in clingfilm or place in airtight containers – this will help avoid freezer burn.
For optimum results please freeze as soon as possible following receipt of delivery. Defrost thoroughly before serving. Do not defrost in the microwave as this will spoil the icing.
Excessive external ambient temperatures, seasonally high or low, will have a detrimental effect on the shelf life of your product.
